Marokopa Munter 2025
Chapter 9 is nearly here! Labour Weekend in Taranaki is ALL GO!
Yep we have moved getting Munted™ to Labour Weekend (24/25/26 Oct). While we understand this date won't suit everyone (family holidays, other event clashes etc) it also offers the chance to make a weekend of it with Monday to recover (hit cafes...)
Secondly- the 24 hour is not an option this year. Sorry bout that, (not that sorry really) but has now grown some new bits and will be a one-off 36 hour extravaganza of adventuring! There will still be the 12 and 6 hour options too.
Thirdy- the location has changed for this year. We are taking a break from the Marokopa Region and have an epic course to reveal, based loosely in Eastern Taranaki.
Yep that's a few changes from the past eight years, but the one thing that wont be changing is the opportunity to get Munted with your friends, make memories for ages and have a guaranteed big day out! So start assembling the troops
and make plans for Taranaki this Labour Weekend!
Wondering about GODZone this November? The 36 hour Munter will be the perfect lead up event - (five weeks before GZ kicks off) and will offer plenty of navigation, route choice, solid MTB distances and several pack rafting/ trek stages.
The 6 hour race will cater for all levels of ability and skill- great for novices but still challenging enough for old pros- plenty of rogaine and navigation choices for all!
The 12 hour race is a solid days work and the rogaine feature will allow all teams to finish the course within the time limit.
